We started co-op the week before Gustav. Grant was pretty upset and did not wnat to go because I was not teaching his classes. He would rather home school. How sweet! He just did not want to be away from me. He felt a little better when I told him that I would not leave him. I would be there the whole time. So we were off to co-op. He has four classes: Science, Geography, Contenders of the Faith and Etiquette. I figured he needed these the most.
Gabriela stayed with the Preschool Chicks, I was assigned to help her teacher for the last two hours of the day. She had fun serving all of hte pretend food to the other Chicks in the class. Story time was awesome--her teacher is a retired librarian, she has a way of bringing every story to life and the chicks love it.
After the first four hour day, Grant no longer wants to home school, he just wants to co-op! I had to break the news to him that co[op was just for 1 day a week and only a few subjects were covered. We still have to homeschool on all the other days. How is a little boy supposed to be responsible for all these subjects?
